To the me I`ll never be again
To the one I want, but can never have

I can`t change, I can`t move
This unflattering desire
Like a butterfly, trapped in an open cage
So easy to leave, yet not wanting to

Going nights upon nights
Wondering what you`d think of me
Too scared to ask, too brave to know
I flick another page.
Another page, another memory
I hate memories
Pass me by, they make me what I am
That I don`t want
To have then to not have
Having the memory
Knowing the item that filled my lonely heart
Only to lose it again
Twisting memories, twisting what I want
If only I knew what I wanted.
The regrets, the memories
I only know what I don`t want

Time flickers, another minute
Past passing, Present pausing
I take another pen
Another page
I scratch another memory
Why can`t I have the me that I want?
The me with perfect memories
Of a perfect you
In that perfect world where everything is so certain

The music rings “Lacrimosa“
“Another story for another tear“
The passing time, never taking me with it
The bittersweet envelope that wraps life
Dear friend I hope you know
That to know, is the greatest gift
Even apart from you, I pretend I am with you
I remember the quirks you have, the you I recognise
And I laugh, to myself, to the world
Granting everyone a piece of you that I love
Yet, never wanted to share

It burns every piece of me
Is it just me? Do you treat them that way too?
Sitting beside myself
Thinking only thoughts
Burning my money, wasting my time
When in reality, you`re all I`ve really wanted
Throw away a dried pen
The freak in me still writing
Still dwelling
A thousand memories flooding in
I hate memories so much.

My Return To Hong Kong 2009

Hong Kong was Amazing.
Apologies for the lack of recent posts. I have been absent in my favourite place. Hong Kong.

Me & Parents decided to go back for 2 weeks, in time to celebrate the Chinese New Year!
I was re-acquainted with my Dads side of the family & They are lovely people. They were extremely welcoming and I did not feel left out with any of my time there. I went out everyday, there was always something to do! Plus even after going out, the day normally ended with a game of Mahjong Against my cousins, uncles or aunties and the games would continue well into the early hours of the next day.

During the New year, it was custom to light several fireworks and chains of dynamite, to pray to gods and plant incense for them. Before the New year period came around, everyone had to bathe in Grapefruit leaves, to cleanse and ward off spirits. & As soon as the first day of the new year arrived, I received several red envelopes containing money, and we were not allowed to wash our hair that day. Because apparently it was believed that if you washed your hair, you washed away the good spirit that came to you also.

I met all of my lovely cousins all over again; they took me shopping and in my time in HK. I managed to go to a Karaoke Bar and Macau, into the worlds largest Hotel Casino (The Venetian) I also gambled & Won! ^^-

I also managed to go to a Toilet themed resturant it was indeed very strange however still very fun to be at. I had my hair permed and shopping was just complete heaven, HK had so many wonderful shops, great fashion, great food & everything was that much cheaper. Also the night at the Karaoke bar didn’t end until midnight, that’s 4-5 hours solid singing! It’s definitely the place for me. I’d love to actually live there for a long period of time. It’s just I don’t have any friends there and I built myself here in England, so moving so far away would be hard. However let’s move on to the interesting stuff; The photos!
( I also paid several visits to the Purika machine in my time in HK, those oblivious to what these machines do, they’re basically fancy photo booths that let you decorate your photos afterwards with several images and words.)

Let’s begin with where I stayed; My 2 week lodge was at my Grandmothers 3 story house. In a village occupied by mainly other branches of the family.

This was home. For 2 weeks and a bit.

It doesn’t look like any 5 star hotel I assure you, but I wasn’t home alot of the time and for the times that I was, it was comfortable to live in & despite outer appearance the interior was very well maintained by a personal maid, hired by my grandmother.

Shopping was definitely the initial thought that sprang to my mind and as expected, the Stores in Hong Kong were wonderful!

During the chinese new year there was also a flower festival in which people attend to purchase new flowers to decorate their homes, bring good fortune & such. There were many activities that went on as well. Fishing with a paper net was one of them!

This was fun for me, I’d only watched this being done on television so it was a novelty.

As part of the celebration of the new year, When me & Family were in Macau, there was a Firework Festival Gathering, were the public came together, purchased copious amounts of fireworks and set them alight across the sea.

There was also this adorable Candy House in Macau.

Then everyone went into a gaming arcade where I had a few rounds on Taiku drum master, DDR & Soul Calibur II. Sadly I was having too much fun to take photos at the time x].

A few days after heading home ( & Several Shopping trips later ) me & Cousins went to a toilet themed restaurant! Despite how disgusting this may sound, the queues came all the way out of the restaurant and around the staircase area.

It wasn't a real toilet, It substituted the seats in the restaurant!

It went so quickly, I wish I could’ve stayed longer. Anyway, to welcome me at my humble abode were curtains of snow that spread across the ground :)

Here it is, the long awaited 2009.
Happy New Year everyone.

For beginnings and for Endings.

It’s all a little frightening yet, a little uplifting. I love new years. It just turns a completely new page. A year is so long at the same time so short.
2009, has not been the best of years for me, but I won’t complain because it’s all a character building experience. Right?

All the time I strive to be a better person. I don’t know how well that’s going haha.

Backwards if anything x]

Nah, enough of the negativity.
It’s good to make the most of what you have.

All the time, moving forward, I have such vivid ideals that I aspire to ;_;

But, New Years; Many endings and Many new beginnings.
I look forward to it, Change is always welcome, (good ones especially!) .
It’s all very daunting, and very exciting.

Well, alright.
I’m rambling now.

Still, everyone, enjoy everything with all you have [:
Because things can be fragile.
Happy New Year Everyoneeeee~
