Yes, it is THE Twilight, book by Stephenie Meyer who is by now no doubt rolling in her millions. Young beautiful girl falls in love with sexy vampire. Ohhh the clicheness.
In all full honesty I don’t see what the big fuss was all about, yes, he’s nice looking, she’s pretty, romantic love story yaddah yaddah, but it’s all very basic, and very cliche, there are already too many story about vampires in my opinion. On the other hand my opinions may be too brutal because of the excellent reviews I heard, I had my hopes up going to the cinema and extremely eager and prepared for ‘ the best movie of my life ‘ sadly Twilight did not fufil this role as efficiently as I had hoped.

My favourite scene would’ve to be when Edward stopped the car from Crushing Bella. I’m just a sucker for Hero scenes like that, it’s also when he looked most manly I think. Most of the time i’m debating in my head if he’d make a better woman than whoever plays Bella but that thought died shortly after seeing the movie since hunger happened to devour my every initial thought.

Kudos to the film makers however the film was very nice, a good way to pass 2(&something) hours and I made the most of my £4.20. However it’s not a film I’d pay to see again. The Dark Knight was much better, or even Ironman.
Aesthetically pleasing the film was still extremely cliche, the baseball scene was nice. Maybe I’d be more interested if I’d read the book before going to watch the movie.
Typical teenage lovestories eh?

Summary : Very easily loved, however far too mainstream for me.

As for those die-hard fans of Twilight that I know, there have been alot of good comments on the film, but some complain that the film was too short to fully capture the true beauty of the book & others argue that the film shamed the book.
